Infrastructure Monitoring

  • Hard-wiring millions of sensors to monitor the structural heath of buildings and other infrastructure is cumbersome. In particular, hardwiring or maintaining batteries for instrumentation in high-voltage environments along a powergrid is impractical, unsafe, and costly.

  • ETI creates wire-free power zones within high-voltage switchgear boxes, allowing battery-free sensors to be flexibly positioned and perpetually powered. This initial application creates a pathway to future opportunities in structural health monitoring.

Developed by Experts

ETI’s co-founders, Dr Robert Moffatt and Dr Jeff Yen met while studying at Stanford University where they each earned PhDs in Physics. They are the co-inventors of ETI’s breakthrough magnetic resonance technology for through-the-air wireless power. After forming ETI, the co-founders spent serveral years refining this technology and readying it for commercialization.
